My Favorite Web Sites

Hi. This site is dedicated to my Camaros. My current one is a 2001 Z28 and my two previous Camaros were a 1988 RS and a 1992 Z28, they have both been sold but I am going to keep them on the site because of what they meant to me.
I've driven only Camaros since I could drive. The '88 was my very first car and is what got me started on the F-body and eventually led to me buying another 3rd gen and now my 4th gen.
Enjoy

Please forgive the pop-ups, this is a free site.

Current Affairs

The Camaro is for sale, I'm sorry to say. It will be a sad day to hear her lump off into the distance. Anyways here is the add.

I'm looking for a '02+ Saab 9-5 Aero. So if by some slim chance you have one and are looking for a car like mine, well let me know!

Welcome the Saab

I decided to retire the Camaro as my daily driver. She did fine in this role, however filling up with premium gas twice a week kinda sux. And the less miles I put on her, the less valve spring changes I'll be doing. These big cams go through them faster.

Enter my new Saab. I bought a 1995 Saab 900 SE Turbo. This car is fantastic! Everything the Camaro isn't, quiet, luxurious, nice fit/finish, and a great interior. Go Sweden! Here's the options:

-2 door, Silver exterior, charcoal leather interior

-2.0 i4 turbocharged/intercooled, 5 spd manual, fwd, 4 wheel disc brakes, 16" "Viking" three spoke wheels

-Power/heated seats (both), heated mirrors, sunroof, power everything, full gages, rear air, travel/fuel computer with all kinds of stuff nobody would need, auto dimming interior LCD displays, 160 watt cassete head unit, 6 disc changer, already put new speakers in it, Kicker midbass, SPL fulls

It's really the perfect compliment to the Camaro. Gets around 33 mpg highway, averages 27. Has decent power, when that little turbo comes in (and hard at that) it just goes. Feels like a solid low 15 second car. Go buy one!

The powerplant in the '88
-4 bolt roller 357
-AFR 190 heads
-Accel SuperRam intake
-GM LT4 Hot Cam
-Harland Sharp 1.6 roller rockers
-Ed Wright custom chip
-Crane Fireball Hi-6 ignition
-Yank 3200 lock-up converter
Still running the Edelbrock TES headers, which are proving to be a huge restriction for this setup. The stock transmission is still on duty and fairing well considering.
So far the best pass on this combo is a 12.87@106.38 on a 1.88 60 ft, with a best mph of 106.78. Traction and tuning still present problems, the tranny slips some when on slicks, so its am limited to drag radials at this time. The engine needs more cam and long tube headers to really make the next step. With something in the 224 range and LTs, 110+ mph should be easy. Keep at it Joe!
